Jianshui Panda Inlay Teapot

A handcrafted Jianshui clay teapot featuring a distinctive panda motif set into the lid using a traditional carved-and-inlaid clay technique.

The panda design is not painted onto the surface. Instead, the motif is carefully carved into the lid and filled with contrasting clay through multiple stages of carving, inlaying, and refining before firing. This process integrates the decoration into the clay itself and creates the smooth, detailed finish seen on the lid.

The low, rounded body and flat lid give the teapot a balanced silhouette, while the natural unglazed clay surface preserves the tactile character of traditional Jianshui pottery.

With an approximate capacity of 210ml, it is a comfortable size for gongfu tea brewing and everyday loose-leaf tea sessions.
