Notes Before Purchase

Because every piece of Jianshui Zitao is made entirely by hand, it can’t—and shouldn’t—look exactly like an industrial product. Unlike mass-produced items, handmade ceramics naturally come with small variations. At the moment, there is no unified industry standard for what qualifies as a “flaw,” and people understandably have different expectations.

This creates a balance we take seriously.

If our quality standards are set unrealistically high, many perfectly usable handmade pieces would be rejected, directly affecting the livelihoods of the artisans who make them. If standards are too loose, the customer experience suffers—and that’s not acceptable either.

Our approach sits in between.

Every piece is carefully inspected before shipping, and we continuously refine our quality guidelines based on feedback and experience. Our goal is to reduce the disadvantages of handmade production as much as possible, without raising prices or compromising the integrity of the craft.

We believe handmade objects should feel honest, well-finished, and enjoyable to use—while still carrying the subtle marks that make them human.

We inform you out of respect for consumers' right to know. Please be cautious when placing an order, as most Jianshui Zitao products are handcrafted and we reject industrialized "black technology". The clay material is sufficiently healthy, and the production process is relatively primitive, making it difficult to compare with industrialized products. Moreover, everyone has a different definition of defects. Minor issues such as marks left on the bottom of the purple pottery due to firing, small imprints from manual handling, or slight color differences that do not affect normal use are not considered quality problems, let alone defective products. Additionally, due to the certain shrinkage rate of Zitao and its handcrafted nature, the size, capacity, and water outlet holes of products from different batches will vary. For specific dimensions and water outlet holes, you can contact customer service for specific measurements. Handcrafted products have warmth but also limitations. Perfectionists, please be cautious when purchasing!

Our store guarantees that all products sold are authentic Jianshui Zitao, and we offer a ten-fold compensation for any fake products. The main body of the clay products achieves different colors through firing techniques or manual polishing. Color differences on the rim of the lid and inside the product are normal phenomena. Jianshui Zitao contains no glazed or waxed components. For details, please consult customer service.

Shipping

Our headquarters are located in the United States, while orders are shipped from Jianshui, Yunnan, China—the birthplace of Zitao purple clay.

If you haven't received your order within the delivery timeframe, and haven't received any updates on your order, please check the order tracking. If the order tracking indicates problems, then please reach out to our customer support team. You can either email us on support@porsva.comor give us a call on +1 (323) 943 8970. Lines are open between 9am to 5pm PT (except Weekends, when we are closed). We aim to respond within 24 hours during our 9am to 5pm PT business hours.

Once your order is dispatched from our warehouse, we'll email you an order confirmation with a tracking number, enabling you to track the status and location of your order.

If you notice an error with your shipping address, please email us asap within 24 hours on support@porsva.com with your name and order number so we can correct the address of your package before it departs. If your order has dispatched from our warehouse, there's no guarantee we can update the address, but we'll do everything we can.

Unfortunately we don't offer customers to collect their order from our warehouse.

Returns & Refunds

Yes, we accept returns under our 48 Hours Return Policy. All returned items must be in new and unused condition and it its original packaging. Lines are open between 9am to 5pm PT (except Weekends, when we are closed). We aim to respond within 24 hours during our 9am to 5pm PT business hours.

Once we've received and inspected the item, you'll receive a refund within 10-12 business days, depending on your card issuer's policies. We refund only to your original payment method.

We do not retain your credit card information after your order is complete. Instead, it is submitted directly to our banks. You can rest assured that your credit card or bank account information will be secure with each purchase.
