Jianshui Bird Motif Inlay Teapot

A handcrafted Jianshui clay teapot featuring a traditional bird motif within a contrasting framed panel.

The decoration is not simply painted onto the surface. The design is created through a traditional carved-and-inlaid process: the motif is carefully incised into the clay, filled with contrasting clay, refined through multiple stages, and then fired to become part of the teapot itself.

The warm natural clay body contrasts beautifully with the light-colored panel, while the bird and calligraphic details give the piece a distinctive character inspired by traditional Chinese decorative arts.

With an approximate capacity of 230ml, it is well suited to gongfu tea brewing and everyday loose-leaf tea sessions.
