Description

This handcrafted Jianshui Zitao teapot features characters from Journey to the West, depicting Tang Monk and Sun Wukong through a traditional carved-and-inlaid technique. The design is first carved into the clay surface and then carefully filled with contrasting clay, creating detailed imagery that is integrated into the body rather than raised from it.

Made from natural Jianshui clay and fired at high temperatures, the teapot develops a dense, heat-stable body suitable for daily tea preparation. The unglazed surface preserves the natural texture of the clay and supports a clean, focused brewing experience.

The flat lid design offers a balanced silhouette and stable fit. Compact in size, this teapot is well suited for gongfu tea sessions. It can be purchased individually or paired with other tea ware from the PorSva collection to create a cohesive set.
