Description

This handcrafted Jianshui Zitao pottery office mug features a rounded belly form decorated with a bodhi pattern and a persimmon motif created through a traditional multi-layer carved-and-inlaid technique. The design is first engraved into the clay body and then carefully filled with colored clay, forming imagery that is fully integrated into the surface rather than applied as a raised decoration.

Made from natural Jianshui clay and fired at high temperatures, the mug develops a dense and heat-stable body suitable for daily use. The unglazed interior preserves the original taste of beverages, while the exterior showcases the warm texture and subtle depth unique to Jianshui craftsmanship.
